Adrian Misiano – Matthews Steer, Partner (Accountants & Advisors)

Partner and director at Matthews Steer, Adrian heads up the transport, caravan and property divisions.
Adrian is passionate about assisting clients with strategic planning, asset protection, and tax structuring, and providing financial and business analysis to assist in wealth generation for business owners. He is a skilled coach and mentor, has a track record for resolving tax issues and overseeing structuring transactions and is an accomplished presenter at various industry body conferences. Adrian is also an Accredited Specialist Advisor with the FBA (Family Business Australia).
Adrian completed his Masters of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Swinburne Hawthorn in 2016 and comes with a solution focus.
Adrian assists businesses to adopt lean processes and differentiate themselves from competitors. His ability to simplify the complications of business and provide concise, accessible, effective advice to make a difference, has built him a solid reputation with clients.

Alan Khoury – Matthews Steer, Senior Accountant (Accountants & Advisors)

Alan Khoury is a member of Matthews Steer’s tax and business advisory division. Alan acts for clients across a range of industries from manufacturing, hospitality, property and various others. Having previously worked as a management accountant, Alan likes to really get inside client businesses and provide avenues to help them grow and ultimately achieve their goals. Alan’s core strengths include budgeting, forecasting and reporting which Alan will use to provide clients with insights into their own business that they may not already be aware of. Alan works with clients to implement controls and practices that help drive efficiencies; skills he acquired across his time in public practice and in industry. Alan prides himself in gaining a clear understanding of client needs and proactively managing and delivering to their expectations. Alan joined the team at Matthews Steer in 2016. A graduate of La Trobe University in 2012, Alan has since gained a qualification as a Chartered Accountant in 2015.

Roland Burt – Keypoint Law, Consulting Principle

Roland has 30 years’ experience as a construction and commercial litigation lawyer. Over his career Roland has acted in disputes and litigation across industry in Australia, and in recent years has focussed on property and construction. An area of special interest is civil construction.
Roland is an active member of the Civil Contractors Federation and advises and represents civil contractors, civil engineers and other parties in contract, disputes and insurance matters. Roland regularly presents to industry on current legal issues.
Roland’s construction law practice includes:

– Claims under Security of Payment legislation, including adjudications
– Delay/prolongation/liquidated damages
