The draft National Road Safety Strategy 2021-30 has now been released for consultation. This follows consideration by the Infrastructure and Transport Ministers Meeting.
The consultation period will close on 23 March 2021. You can view the draft Strategy, along with a series of supporting fact sheets at www.officeofroadsafety.gov.au/nrss
The draft Strategy supports strong governance, transparency and accountability by all levels of government, and adopts a social model approach to deliver road safety actions, mapping out a path to foster a road safety culture across Australian society.
This is your opportunity to have input into the Strategy before it is finalised by governments. The best way to ensure your comments are received is to make a submission and comment on the draft Strategy through the online submission form.
Alternatively, you can email roadsafetystrategy@infrastucture.gov.au or mail it to:
Attention: Office of Road Safety

All submissions must be received by 11:59pm AEDT Tuesday 23 March.
Comments received will be taken into account in finalising the Strategy, which will be released alongside a five-year National Road Safety Action Plan. The National Action Plan will be shaped by the feedback you provide.
Online consultation meeting sessions will be held, providing an opportunity to hear more about the draft Strategy and ask your questions. For further information and to register for a meeting, please visit www.officeofroadsafety.gov.au/nrss.
