A message from CCF SA President Paul Davison
On behalf of the CCF SA Board, it is my pleasure to let you know that, after an extensive search over the last 2 months with over 55 applicants, Rebecca Pickering has been appointed our new Chief Executive Officer.
Rebecca will come to the position with considerable experience in the construction sector and industry association work, which has included a number of years in a senior position with the Master Builders Association, and more recently with us at the Civil Contractors Federation South Australia as Director Apprenticeships, Group Training and Industry Employment. During her time with us Rebecca has successfully established our Group Training Organisation and played a significant role in the corporate management of the CCF SA.
We have every confidence Rebecca will build on the positive legacy left by Phil Sutherland who has agreed to step down at the end of the year to allow Rebecca to make an early start in the CEO role. We will formally thank Phil for his service at the Gala Dinner early next year.
With Phil at the helm over the last 8 years the CCF SA has kicked many goals. Now, appointing a woman to head up the CCF SA for the first time further demonstrates the contribution women can make at every level of the Civil Construction Industry.
The board is confident that with Rebecca appointed as the new CEO we can move forward continuing to deliver positive outcomes for our members and the industry at large. Exciting times ahead! I am sure you will all join me in congratulating Rebecca on her appointment.
If I do not manage to see you prior to Christmas, please make sure you have a safe break and enjoy the time you have with your family and friends.
I understand that this year has been complicated, as it has been for all of us. On behalf of the whole board I would like to thank you for your ongoing support of the Civil Contractors Federation SA.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
Paul Davison
