The Australian Government’s $1.2 billion Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements program will subsidise 50% of gross wages paid to eligible trainees between 5 October 2020 and 30 September 2021 – up to $7,000 per quarter.
The subsidy is capped at 100,000 places, and is open to employers of any size or industry, Australia-wide, for both new and existing workers studying a Certificate II or higher qualification as part of a formal training contract (who are not receiving any other form of government subsidy, e.g., JobKeeper).
