The Traffic Management Association of Australia, TAS Division, takes great pride in being a part of the TMAA National Association. Our primary objective is to collaborate with the National Association, our local membership, road authorities, and key stakeholders to enhance safety on roads and roadwork sites across Tasmania.

Together, we strive to make a tangible difference in road safety through initiatives such as the Towards Zero campaign and the Your Speed is our Safety TV Campaign.

At TMAA TAS, our key focus areas include promoting and increasing:

1. Safety: Championing initiatives that ensure the highest levels of safety on our roads and work sites.
2. Training: Enhancing professional development and training opportunities for individuals in the traffic management industry.
3. Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S): Prioritizing the well-being and safety of workers through robust OH&S practices.
4. Innovation: Encouraging and embracing innovative approaches in traffic management to address evolving challenges.
5. Products and Services: Promoting the availability of quality products and services that cater to the needs of the traffic management industry.

Mitigating controllable risks is paramount, and we believe this can be achieved by implementing harmonised best practices in road design and temporary traffic management. Educating our workers on how to conduct themselves within worksites creates a uniform level of risk, regardless of location or collaborating parties, achieved through standardized training and best practices.
