AfPA has recognised the arrival of the Federal Government’s 22-23 Budget, which commits to a more responsible and sustainable approach to infrastructure investment.

The arrival of last night’s budget saw the Federal Treasurer, Jim Chalmers, seek to deliver a budget which reduced overall spending whilst simultaneously delivering positive infrastructure outcomes in the wake of key industry challenges, including: Skills shortages, rising costs of materials and unsustainable contracts.

AfPA has called for expressions of interest as the association unveils its ambitions to lead its next International Knowledge Transfer (IKT) tour across the United States in 2023.

The IKT is planned to run over two weeks and is designed to bring together Federal and State Departments, Universities and Research Organisations as well as Contractors and Industry Associations from both countries, to share best practice and shape a stronger future for the industry.

AfPA is planning the next International Knowledge Transfer (IKT) which will be held in 2023 in the USA.

Interested delegates are invited to register expression of interest before 23 November 2022. The itinerary will include meetings with leaders in the key interest areas at Federal and State DoT’s, University and Research Organisations, Contractors and Industry Associations.
